Cannot seem to get ranked?!?!!

Can anyone help me out with my tags? I just cant seem to get ranked on the engines... including Google. I mean if you type in my Company Name I come up as #1,2,3,4, etc... But I really want to come up SOMEWHERE with the keyword of CHILD and CHILDREN - I have written and rewritten my pages, content, ratios to relevancy, yadda yadda!

Any suggestions?

I would forget about coming up anywhere for children and child. Forget about the meta tag keywords - they do not really help you in Google.

You need to find some key phrases that people might search for when looking for your product and get those words into the page title, H1 headings and as the anchor text of links coming to the site.

You only have a Google PR3 - you need a lot more links.

I have to agree with cbp. These words would be impossible to rank on. That would be like trying to rank higher than microsoft for the search microsoft, it just not going to happen. You would need literally tens of thousands of links if not hundreds of thousands that say child in the text and direct to your site. You should find some related terms that would be much easier to rank on.

What cbp siad is correct. You dont need any meta tags except description and keywords. You really dont have to have these either but they may play some role, while very little in ranking, and search engines commonly use part of the meta description tags when displaying search results.
