Default Has something happened to Yahoo?

I've launched a new Disability Services website recently and initially got listed in Yahoo on the 19th May under the company name and specific keywords.

Then, on the 27th May the keywords stopped producing results. The site is still listed in Yahoo - the company name still produces results - but the keywords no longer work.

Only one of the keywords still works, yet bizarrely it now links to the Privacy Statement instead of the page that is relevant (and was linked to before).

It is like the pages have been blacklisted.

The site has since been accepted in the Yahoo Directory (which is due to go live today), and as yet, Yahoo only sees one link going to the website - and this has just appeared 4th June (today). Another listing has also been paid for but as yet is not live.

Anybody got any experience of anything similar?

1/ Will the site recover?
2/ Has Yahoo recently changed algorithms?
3/ Why is an obscure page now listed when good content pages are no longer considered within Yahoo results?
4/ Will a Yahoo! Directory listing improve things?
5/ Does Yahoo! register reasonable results at first and then reassess them if there are no links to substantiate them?

Thanks for your help.

PS. During the same period Google's results have improved considerably for this website.

If you want to see which website I am referring to please visit (I don't want to include a direct link here just incase the forum is spidered!):

It looks like there are only 2 of your pages in the Yahoo index, while Google seems to have 24 pages listed. This is the first of your problems, and IMO may be due to Yahoo's reputed slowness of spidering. Your server is set up nicely and your pages spider well.

You have only one link reported in Yahoo, and getting more links might help with the spidering and ranking problems.

Slightly off topic, but since I presume that your client only offers its services in the UK, might it not be better target UK terms, and use a uk domain name?

Thank you for your response.

Yahoo has spidered at least 10 pages from the site. By keying in the company name then clicking on 'More results from the site' you can see many more than the 2 brought up by 'site:www.mlcdisability.com'.

I am trying to get more links at the moment, which is a slow exercise.

The company also has the co.uk version of the domain name however they want to target healthcare workers worldwide to come to work for them in London.

Why has Yahoo initially given the site reasonable ranking only to make it appear nowhere a week later?
