I've launched a new Disability Services website recently and initially got listed in Yahoo on the 19th May under the company name and specific keywords.
Then, on the 27th May the keywords stopped producing results. The site is still listed in Yahoo - the company name still produces results - but the keywords no longer work.
Only one of the keywords still works, yet bizarrely it now links to the Privacy Statement instead of the page that is relevant (and was linked to before).
It is like the pages have been blacklisted.
The site has since been accepted in the Yahoo Directory (which is due to go live today), and as yet, Yahoo only sees one link going to the website - and this has just appeared 4th June (today). Another listing has also been paid for but as yet is not live.
Anybody got any experience of anything similar?
1/ Will the site recover?
2/ Has Yahoo recently changed algorithms?
3/ Why is an obscure page now listed when good content pages are no longer considered within Yahoo results?
4/ Will a Yahoo! Directory listing improve things?
5/ Does Yahoo! register reasonable results at first and then reassess them if there are no links to substantiate them?
Thanks for your help.
PS. During the same period Google's results have improved considerably for this website.
