I have been optimizing for Google for quite a while. It’s been successful, in that my site is almost always on the first page, and often #1.
I use "link popularity check" from axandra.com. It shows that my site has been steadily accumulating links according to Google. Nevertheless, it is steadily loosing links according to Inktomi and MSN. These directories/search-engines have been a source of business for years. Now, with the "new" Google results, they have become even more important. My company still ranks well in yahoo/msn, but may be loosing out in the near future. Can we start a discussion of SEO for the Google competitors? Particularly, getting them to recognize links to our sites. I would appreciate any advice. |
