Can classified ads be bad for PR or Placement

Hi to all,
I was just wondering if anyone knows will advertising in the classifieds online hurt my page rank which is 5/10 I still don't know where I place on the web. But I want all the exposure I can get. I'm looking into doing TV commercials and advertising in the classifieds in the paper, because those people looking at them are wanting to buy. Please let me know. (do online classifieds hurt you)

No. Basically, a link to your site can only do good. At worst it will do nothing.

I cant see it doing anything bad. Keep in mind that page rank is not necessarily going to get you good rankings. You need good text links with keywords as anchor text, and good content on your web pages. Dont get caught up in Page Rank. It plays a very little part in the actual ranking in google. But if every link to your site has good keyword anchor text, then the Page Rank of your site is a good indication of its ranking potential.
