Default Got My Site Listed in DMOZ

It took less than a month and a half to get my site listed in DMOZ.

Open Directory - Search Results

After reading all the horror stories I was expecting it to take several months.

Peace,
Ken

Why start a thread on it? Around 2000 sites gets listed every week. Should we have 2000 announcements each week?

Don't believe all the SEO forum urban myths.

I submitted websites in the past to DMOZ multiple times. Never got listed. I think they take the same approach they used on SouthPark when determining what to do about the economy...cut the chickens head off and where it falls is what they do (seems random).

Much easier to get listed in Google than DMOZ, would you not agree?

Hence my excitement.

Congratulations on the DMOZ listing, I have been trying for weeks and weeks with no results whatsoever. I did see that someone from DMOZ (or a bot maybe?) viewed my site awhile back, but nothing came of it... anyway, congrats, you are a lucky man!

When you say "trying" what have you been doing? If you submitted more than once, then that might have a lot to do with not getting listed.
