Alexa Listing problem

Hello everyone,

I have recently combined four of my UK websites into one single domain, something catchy that I thought would do the trick. KlickThis.com - Our photographers are everywhere

After many many months of building the new site structure it finally went live. A couple of weeks later I noticed on Alexa it had a ranking of several hundred thousand, compared to 2.5 million of the original 4 sites.

Now 9 months later, that same domain name on Alexa shows up as another domain. I also have no ranking on Google. I can even access the other domain admin panel through Alexa, see who owns it the domain and edit the contact details.

I have written to Alexa three times and they never respond although in my stats I see that Alexa has visited the site 11 times in a week.

Any ideas as to what has happened?

1. Why are you worried about Alexa?

2. How did you combine these domains? Did you use 301 redirects?

Hi incrediblehelp. I am not worried per say about Alexa, but I am concerned why my domain name is showing up as something else. It switches to another domain for traffic stats and I don't even own that other domain name.

Yes all four are pointing to the main index page via 301 redirects.

So in alexa the wrong domain is showing up? Can you posting link examples so we can get on the same page here.

Here's the traffic ranking page for the domain klickthis dot com.

megasmokes.com - Traffic Details from Alexa

Check the URL in the address bar and look at the domain that shows up - megasmokes. I have nothing to do with msmokes and in fact I can log into msmokes admin panel and change the contact details of the woman who shows up as registrant.

Wondering if my Google rankings are also being affected.

I am sorry martin i am not really sure why. Maybe someone did this on purpose? I am not really an Alexa expert as I dont even go to the website or pay attention to it.
