Well last night was a good one, our servers misfired and needed to be reset which isn't that bad.
But then this morning we discover that our small NZ based search engine is giving zero results to everything?
Then I noticed that our database had gone boom and buggered all the data..

Easy I hear you all saying "Just restore the backup and away you go!"

yep the trouble was that the backup had only backed up the files and not the database?

God knows why but it may be our new techie who has ten degrees in computer science but doesn't know how to wipe his arse!

Is it possible to get away with nailing his arse to the wall ?

So we have now got to do a complete reindex of the whole lot which is going to eat a heap of bandwidth and may slow the whole show down a heap..

So if any one out there has any spare bandwidth will they please bag it up and post it to us in New Zealand??
