Beware, some listed as free aren't free.
I just tried submitting to www[dot]directorygeneral[dot]com and at the end, they wanted a payment. Switch and bait?
I prefer seeing the price up front. I'll try more.

Just tried www[dot]directoryhi[dot]com and it's closed.

Three strikes in a row:

These may not be Free, but the list may be helpful?

I have not check the link out myself, so I don't know how good the are.

The link does not take you to a list, but to a site that offers (for a fee) to submit your site to a list of free directories...
