Best Meters In Search? Poll on ad spending.

Ok so I'm trying to figure out the best gauge for search volume by engine. Given any time frame. IE 1 month. The last quarter. The last year etc.. I have already looked at Alexa.com and that is one way. Does anyone have any others.
