Website Search Engine
Hello All:
We drive our website with a lot of ACCESS as the index to point to pages. We lose in that spiders don't find many pages. However, we'd like to offer a way for visitors to search all our pages. Anyone able to recommend a reasonable website search application that allows us to add all the pages ourselves(about 35,000)?

Google Search
This only allows you to put a GOOGLE search (coded) on your website. They search what they have already spidered. I want to add all the pages they missed to a search engine that runs on our website. Or they want you to spend $3,000 to $30,000 - ouch!

Google Search
Hello Dumarest,
Make sure you have a site map.
For the number of pages that you have, organise your site into sub directories(sub domain). (must be a sales site)
Create a site map link for each page (main indexes), create a robots text (root folder) that links to each sub-domain.
If honest, 5% of profits will do nicely.

Have a look at http://interspire.com/fastfind/.
My site has 1600 pages and it works like a treat.
The developers are very helpful, and will install for you. If you're not happy, you can get a refund...
So you can't loose!

"Perlfect Search is a sophisticated, powerful, versatile, customizable and effective site indexing/searching suite available under an open source license (GPL). It comes as a pair of distinct scripts. The indexer, that automatically scans and indexes a web site, and the search engine, a cgi script that serves search queries for keywords over the index, and displays results pages in html, in a standard format including title, description and relevance ranking for each matching document. Advanced features include stopwords, a potent exclude mechanism and a handy automatic installation and configuration utility."
