Default How do you know if a domain has been banned

Hi there

I recently purchased a domain name that had expired www.jobsearch-uk.com and someone had mentioned the fact that it may have been banned from google for spamming does anyone know how to find this out.

I was always told that if you use IE with the google toolbar, if the page rank goes grey the site has been banned.

It did not come up as grey, but I cant find it in google anywhere

Checking the wayback machine, there is only a few entries, the home page, back in 2001 and saying it's for sale.

Looks like the domain was never developed into a website, so I doubt it was banned, just dropped from the index.

Thanks guys thats been a good help put my mind at rest a bit. I had heard that the last time someone was doing anything with it was 2001 or earlier. I think #your probably right and the reason its not in google now is because its been so long since there was any content on the site.

Cheers Guys

Try submitting it and wait a month. Google seems extremely fast at picking sites up!
