Default Webclust.com

Now I know this is not the only query clustering search engine, but this was the first one I found. I like the idea behind how it groups results and I am thinking of making one for the ror format.

Some people say this is how future search engines are going to go and even MSN havea beta one.

Whats your opionons on it?

I use http://vivisimo.com/ now and then

I think must people are lazy and just want the results as they are now #1 thru #10

I see yahoo offering an "also try" on top of the searches. So if the choices are limited, it shouldn't bother the average guy.

Default Open Source

There is an open source project that impliments this as well as complex search ags. You could start there. However, it is java based so I was forced to do my own. I used a cgi listing like a directory structure. seemed to do the trick for me. I think that people would look at the "cluster" concept better if it was presented as "related". Ofcourse my concept is to do away with the need for all of the above all together.

Default No Problems

I will pull a copy and send it to you. You will probably have to do some work on it though. Here is the link to the open source java search.
Nutch
Clusty is another clustering engine you should check out.

Thanks, I wounder if there is a way to bring back a set of results from a normal engine and then run it through a clustering process to give results, that would be worth some money, let anyone with a engine use the technology

Default There is...

There is a php script that someone is selling. A can not for the life of me remember who it is. Hold on I will see if yoddle can find it>>>>plug>>>>php clustering ...or maybe >>>> clustering script. Looks like there are some new ones. Open source even. If you look deeper at nutch they have a link to the open source clustering engine that they use. It also is based for a java enviroment.
