WebProWorld Members,
Happy Happy Friday!
Do you all have any fun weekend plans?
My usual plan of course is to go to the lake. And of course finish any wedding details. :)
I just got through reading this article... "Depression, Obesity Linked to Daytime Sleepiness".
I could definitely see that happening.
After lunch is the hardest part of the day. Everyone gets so sleepy.
I have found however, that the less I eat, the better I feel. That is kind of common sense I guess but it really does amaze me how little your body actually needs.
If you are feeling sluggish in the afternoons, try a light lunch and try to get up and move some during your break. You will feel so much better! :)
Have a great weekend, on we go!

Optimizing photos for users and SE's
Funny how the simplest things always turn up last after you've spent your breath attempting to describe the harder ones. I've just discovered, 'd'oh!' that Windows offers everything we need to optimize the IFD0 information, right in Properties.
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/w...ties-to-a-file
Right click a JPEG and select Properties. Then go to the Details tab. The 'Title' you enter will become [ImageDescription] and [Title]. There's your alternate text, right there, in the image header. 'Subject' as entered in Windows, appears as [Subject]; and, 'Author' as entered in Windows appears as [Artist] and [Author] in the [IFD0] section.
It follows there are other fields that we can update, as well, but the above are the crucial ones, apart from the COMMENT section. I'm going to be adding some more IF statements to my experimental EXIF navigator, to be sure.
Now whether Windows got jealous of IFD0 is a question for another day, but oddly enough, the changes made from my Windows 7 box resulted in another section in the EXIF array: [WINXP] !!!! With an echo of everything I entered. Title, Subject, Author, and Comment. The comment by the way I'm happy to discover does not interfere with the COMMENT entered in the photo editor, and shows up in the IFD0 section as [Comments].
What this basically tells us is that depending upon the resources available to edit JPEG headers, we just have to write the code to seek out those elements in the EXIF array. Don't have a photo editor (God forbid)? You can still add all the above information simply by right clicking the image and uploading after the properties are applied. The server script can be made to look in alternate locations for content to fill a screen element, and image tags can be generated that actually have valid alternate text. If there is no COMMENT, the [Comments] can be used, otherwise they go into the title attribute of the IMG tag. Lots of possibilities.
Anyway, I wanted to share this as it has come up before, and I am now that much wiser, and better able to respond.

Hidden Links
I am reviewing my backlinks in GWT and have come across something I haven't seen before, i.e. a link which isn't visible until the source is viewed, and I am unsure on how to proceed now that I've found it.
The link is located here: (I've substituted (dot) for .))
howdoi-getpregnant(dot)com/how-do-i-get-pregnant/what-to-take-for-heartburn-when-pregnant/
Quite obviously this site is nothing to do with real estate and I have no idea how or why I have a link there. But if I do a search (using the "Find" feature in Google Chrome) for the word "Altinkum", the page reveals nothing. But switch to view source, and there are 4 occurrences of it, all in a link to my site.
The link comes complete with text that I know I haven't written. I should add that mine isn't the only link there.
From the source, the link is within a "comments" section, but there isn't one visible on the page.
Any views please on why the links are there and what I should do about it?

Google Places Question
Had a call from someone today trying to sell me a package that would guarantee me a listing in top 7 on Google Places for my remedial massage business innerwestmassage.com.au. Does anyone know if it is possible to actually guarantee this?
I wasn't aware that this is the case and whilst I suspect that there may be optimisation techniques that could increase the chances of this happening but to offer an unconditional guarantee would presumably include the involvement of google and I'd be surprised if that was the case.
Does anyone know if such a guarantee is real? (I have no interest in taking up such an offer as my sites are reasonably prominently displayed on google places anyway but just curious to know the answer)
