Not many of us have enough cash in our bank accounts to pay off the debts we owe (or else they wouldn't be debts right) … this guy did however...

$114,000 Debt Paid in Cash: Mystery Student Steps Forward

Which to me is great news for the guy. But a lot of people are complaining and saying how he just wanted to flaunt his money. I would be pretty happy too so I don't blame him. I mean, who wouldn't love to walk into the bank or wherever and just pay off your debt? I guess all these people are just jealous.

Of course I don't know the guy but it seems like he worked hard for his money and it wasn't just handed to him, what's wrong with that?

There's always something to complain about on the Internet. ;)

If Everything Is Free, How Will Developers Earn?

Ok, so this is kind of an exaggeration but I just saw this site: http://www.wix.com/ , which provides free websites and it got me thinking about how all of these big companies keep offering everything for free. I mean most people that I know that want basic e commerce sites for their hobby/crafts use etsy.. they even have an app that allows it to be embedded into a facebook tab now...

I know the easy answer is that us web developers can just work for companies like Wix and all of the rest to develop things like this... I guess web development won't be a specialty that individuals with basic needs will come to with all the free handouts.. only if they need customization... it'll never me "mom and pop" like brick and mortar businesses because of the free handouts and will keep webdevelopers running to keep up with the learning curve, that's for sure...

ps. I got the title from another blog on google that someone put out 10 months ago: http://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic...evelopers-earn

Someone told me yesterday that if your index page doesn't have a nav, that it is docked points. While my site has over 230 pages, the index page has no nav. I was going to wait to redesign it, but maybe I need to step that up.

Programming
Php script problem.

I have no experience as a coder/programmer and wonder if someone here can help.

I have a script (about 2 years old) which was written by someone who is no longer contactable. The script is used to extract data from photographs using the PHP exif functions.

The script consists of 2 parts 'gallery.html' (includes php code) and 'thumbnail.php', and this should read the image data and display it alongside thumbnails of all the images in a directory. When I run the scrip it displays the following in a web page instead of the thumbnails/data

Brightcove on the Transformation of Online Video

In recent years, we've seen online video go from very simplistic content to now television and movie-type content. While this progression brings a lot of excitement and opportunities, it also brings many challenges.
