Is this a massive issue of downtime to troubleshoot?

WebProWorld Members,

It's no surprise that some people out there do some just plain dumb things. I don't know whether people in general have the wrong morals or too much time on their hands or what but this story I'm sharing today is just ridiculous.

One man apparently was upset that the place he was eating at ran out of the fish that was part of a "all-you-can-eat" deal.

Gorging yourself with food is bad enough.. But this man went as far as calling the cops and picketing the restaurant because they wouldn't serve him anymore fish. Although they offered to send him home with 8 pieces of a different kind of fish.

I would never eat enough to be upset about a place running out but even so, to call the cops and picket the place? It is just crazy.

Does this kind of thing happen where you live? Particularly, outside of the US?

Constantly being dumped by Google Chrome while doing a search

When I use Google Chrome and I use Google to look for information, I'm constantly getting stopped after about 5 queries. It asks me to type in some characters in order to continue.

The message states that "our systems have detected unusual traffic from your computer network. This page checks to see if it's really you sending the requests, and not a robot" Anyone know why this happens.

I can search all day on Google on Firefox and never once has this occurred. With Chrome I know it will happen almost right away.

Magento Go (or alternative solution) in China

I'm in the process of evaluating an e-commerce platform catering mainly to Mainland China. A few questions for you (as you will understand, I'm quite new to the whole e-commerce game):

- Does Magento Go support the Chinese Language? How does it work? Do we have to translate manually everything in the shop front or is there some sort of ready-made translation for the key elements?

- Can I have the goods shipped from multiple origins outside the country? Meaning: item A has one origin in Italy, item B has another in Turkey, etc.? -How does the system manage the complexity? (shipping costs should take into account not just the delivery address but also the varying starting point). When the order is taken and the invoice generated, how do I inform my partners in Italy/Turkey/... that they should ship the product? Can Shipworks handle this part?

- Can you have in Magento Go more than one shop-front (one in English, one in Chinese, etc.?)

- this might be a bit outside of your remit but...any shipping courier you'd advise for China? I'm told local ones are very fragmented and not always reliable... Of course, if you have better alternative in mind to handle this I'm open to recs. I did some browsing and the names that keep popping up as "more reliable" are either Venda or Magento...
