WebProWorld Members,

Tonight is the big night. The National Championship game is tonight.

Will UK take down Kansas? I hope so, and I think they will.

The sad thing is, whether it is disappointment or celebration tonight, people get out of hand.

Burning couches and flipping cars. Of course, this doesn't just happen in Kentucky. I just don't get it. I am all for celebrating but there is absolutely no point in what some people do.

It's sad and embarrassing.

And of course, now, this stuff is video taped and spread all over the internet.

Hopefully, tonight won't get that bad, no matter how the game turns out.

Browser's Back Button Resubmits Form - Concerned About User Experience

FYI, I'm not concerned about the form resubmitting to the database - it won't allow duplicate data. Instead, the user gets sent to a page saying "this has already been submitted". This page has a top menu and a side menu for the site, plus I could add a "click here to continue" link or button. Is that enough?

My concern is that the users of this particular site tend to be older and less computer savvy and a few might be frustrated by their browser not taking them back to the form. Am I worried about nothing here?

I've tried a few approaches to resolving this (redirecting user to the form again would be my ideal solution) but I'm confounded. Here's the setup :

form.html submits to processor.asp on windows server
processor.asp submits to processor2.php on linux server
processor2.php redirects to success.html on windows server, or if data has already been submitted it redirects to fail.html on windows server

Another confounding factor - some browsers throw their own warning when trying to use the back button - example: "As a security precaution, Firefox does not automatically re-request sensitive documents."

Email send and file

I've been using Lotus Notes for email for many years, first in the corporate environment and later when I was on my own. I use the Lotus Notes client stand alone for all my business email.

A function I use constantly is the Send and File function, which lets you save an out-going email to the folder you choose. So, for example, all my incoming and outgoing email related to a particular client is in one place. This is very much following the model of the hardcopy letter filing process, which I like. I want all correspondence for a client in the same place.

Except for a clunky add-on for Outlook, which may or may not be available if I upgrade Outlook, I haven't seen this function with any other email program. Many have the ability to indicate a reply, giving you sort of a thread, but it isn't the same.

It is difficult to get maintenance and upgrades for standalone Lotus Notes client. IBM isn't real interested in selling single licenses of this. In fact, the last few times I've asked for pricing I haven't gotten even a polite response. So I'd like to move to something more standard for the future.

How to fix blogspot broken link?

I have my domain pointing to blogspot and each time I create a thread and delete it, it shows as a broken link in webmaster tools.

How can I fix those broken links? In blogspot, is it possible to make 301 redirect through XML and XLST?
