WebProWorld Members,

As if Facebook wasn't creepy enough...

Now there is a new interactive experience called Take This Lollipop.

Basically, this gathers all your data, post it in a video with a creepy man watching.Weird to say the least. And why people would actually want to do this I don't know, besides just being curious.

Facebook seems to get more stalker-like every day.

Are you still using Facebook? Do you think there is too much information on there?

Google Chrome: Some fonts not being displyed or displayed incorrectly
I'm quite sure this is a problem with Chrome, but I couldn't find any solutions on the web.

For some reason, Chrome is unable to display embedded fonts on webpages, so it looks a bit messy.

It works fine on firefox, safari, explorer and opera. Any ideas how to fix this?

Help Please - form-to-email submissions killed by Ironport SPAM flter

A client has a problem in that their webhost's Ironport SPAM filter is intermittently killing simple form submissions. The host says it's because form output is too simple or contains spammy word(s).

But we have experimented and the exact same input can go through sometimes while other times it's 'lost in space.' Furthermore, obviously spammy jibberish sails through!!

The form is a simple restaurant table booking request: Typical generated email:

+1 button - the terms of use

I have noticed on a well known holiday (cruise) web site a note by the plus one button saying "Google plus one us!" is this not against the terms and conditions when deploying the +1 button?

This must be considered as soliciting clicks, thus against the terms of use surely? It has not seemed to have effected them adversely in the ranking results, do you think it will?

The biggest problem with the plus one button is outside of the internet industry the great unwashed are not aware of what the button is, or even what it is designed for. Never mind to click on it if they wish to share information at a later date within their circles of friends who may be searching for a similar item.

Within or outside of the rules?

GoAnimate Puts Politics in Flash Videos – Let the Fun Begin!

Since cartoons and satire go hand in hand with politics, GoAnimate decided to make it easy for anyone to make their own political animated video for free. The company recently released new features that include a collection of political characters and backgrounds focused around the U.S. Presidential election. The characters specifically include all the current Republican candidates, President Barack Obama, Speaker of the House of Representatives John Boehner, as well as other political media personalities.
