WebProWorld Members,

Seems as the Westboro Baptist Church will protest anything. Of course they were at Steve Jobs' funeral last week. They protest a lot of funerals for celebrities and soldiers. To read up on the latest protest, check out this article.

If you looked closely enough, you probably saw that all these tweets from the group slamming Jobs were sent from an iPhone. Kind of ironic huh?

Do you think these protest should be stopped or do you think it is just part of free speech?

Let us know!

Is Pagerank Connected To Keywords?

Is Pagerank Connected To Keywords?
I know this may seem like a silly question, but I'd like a WebProWorld answer, once and for all.

I just searched moments ago the phrase "Is Pagerank Connected To Keywords?" and there was one exact match phrase result with very little information on it.

My question is related to the following scenario:

Let's say I have a page optimized for the keywords "New York Dentist". Of course as a part of my off-page SEO strategies I would build links to that page.

Google webmasters tool domain name change

Earlier I posted that I had two listings on google webmaster tools mydomain[dot]com and

www[dot]mydomain[dot]com

now I have

mydomain[dot]com and

https[colon]//www[dot]google.com/webmasters/tools/
dashboard?hl=en&siteUrl=http://www.mydomain[dot]com/

Which when clicked on leads to www[dot]mydomain[dot]com

Does anyone know what this is, and should I be concerned?

Why does GWT report inbound links from pages/sites that don't exist?

I realize there may be some lag time in what Google reports in webmaster tools, but this is getting ridiculous. My link profile in GWT continues to show IBLs from sites I took down over a month ago. If Google wants to keep some kind of historical record of these links, I guess that's fine --- but the dashboard in GWT implies that this data is current -- according to the most recent crawl of the site ("updated Oct. 10...").

It's a little annoying because I've spent the last month trying to clean up my site's link profile, but GWT makes it look like I've done nothing.

Self-Publishing: A Game Changer for the Publishing Industry

The publishing industry is changing in a major way. Although traditional publishing methods are highly regarded, they are also very costly and somewhat cumbersome. After experiencing this personally with his book Attention! This Book Will Make You Money, Jim Kukral realized that he could do it just as easily himself. He even came up with an idea that uses crowdsourcing to pre-fund a series of books, which has raised over $20,000 up to this point.
