WebProWorld Members,

Location, Location, Location: that's the saying you undoubtedly here when talking about real estate. That same line of thinking has trickled to the online world as well. Meaning, geo locating your site to a specific region has numerous advantages.

This line of thinking inevitably leads to the question: How do I geo locate my site?

In this video, Matt Cutts provides some answers in relation to Google's search results. The specific question being asked in the video is; How do meta geo tags influence the search results?

Here's Cutt's response, "Typically the geotags that are in meta tags are not as useful and We don't tend to give those as much weight if at all"

Cutts doesn't leave us hanging though and provides insight as to what Google does look for. IP Address, gTLD, and ccTLD are the three main factors that Google uses for search results.

To provide yourself with more control with geo-location you can also use Google's Webmaster Tools to manipulate your content more efficiently. For example, even if you have a dot com you can specify certain content as being relevant for a particular country.

Has anyone utilized meta geo tags, if so have you noticed any different at all? Have you even messed around with geo-location, and if so what have been some of your strategies?

The ideas presented in the WebProWorld newsletter editor's note do not reflect the thoughts, and ideas of the WebProWorld community.

Adwords, dynamic urls and Google cache

Adwords, dynamic urls and Google cache
I started an Adwords campaign for a shopping cart site about a month ago. The ads are pointed to dynamic urls, formatted as such:

http://www.mysite.com/index.asp?Page...=Custom&ID=123

The ads are running ok and the links work fine, but today I wondered how the natural results looked for these custom pages, so I hit "cached snapshot" on my google toolbar and none of these pages are showing up in the cache! Other, older pages are showing up ok, although they're not ranking well, which is why I'm paying G now.

If a bot crawls the page when I submit the Adwords ad, how could G not have a cached version of the page? Does it take longer than a month for these to show up?

Outlook

Does anyone PLEASE know the answer to this. I have ben told by Telefonica that I have nearly 1,500 emails on my list that do not exist anymore. They have all come back to outlook express one at a time. I need to get them out of my address book. It is easy to add new entries to address book but to get one off of it is a different thing it seems. Have sat here for nearly four hours now and have only got rid of about 250 of them. Any speedy ideas PLEASE. Not sure which version of outlook I am on but it is a recent one.

Php insert different records into multiple mysql tables with same unique id

I have what is probably a simple problem with php. I'm relatively new to using php. I am creating the registration page for my website and I want multiple tables to be filled into mysql using different data. However, I still need the unique id number to be filled into the tables and to be the same number in every table for a single user.

My id fields are int(11) unsigned auto_increment - this field is the primary key in the tables I am updating. I am able to generate the unique id number for my first table by simply using NULL in php so mysql will assign the next highest unique id number. This works for the INSERT for the first table but then how to I INSERT thta same unique id number in another table using a separate INSERT command right after the first one?

If there are the same number of records in each table, this is no problem. But, if one table gets out of order and has more records than the other, the unique id numbers do not align correctly between the separate tables.
