How big is Facebook? While you think about that and immediately answer back -- 200 million users. Answer this question; is Facebook big enough to warrant a film adaptation based on its' creator(s)?

While you might be debating the question, Columbia Pictures has went ahead and answered for you. Yes, Facebook's founders Mark Zuckerburg and Eduardo Saverin deserve to have their story told on the big screen.

The news was dropped yesterday, and has caused quite a stir in the social media circle. There have been a few details released so far. First, is that the movie is based on the book, "The Accidental Billionaires: The Founding of Facebook, a Tale of Sex, Money, Genius and Betrayal" written by Ben Mezrich.

Ok, so maybe it will make for a good movie, ;)

Beyond that there are few concrete facts to report. It is being rumored that David Fincher (Fight Club, Se7en) is in advanced talks with Columbia to direct the movie. There are also apparent actors being looked at to play the role of Mark Zuckerburg; Michael Cera and Shia LaBeouf are the front runners.

If you're still wondering what a Facebook based movie would be like, here's a good summary about the book from this CNet blog post...

Self-confident, definitely. Arrogant, possibly. It'd still be a stretch to imagine him partying on yachts, scheming his way into secret societies, and creating popular Web projects so that he could hook up with more girls. But according to a tipster to media gossip blog Gawker, that's what's detailed in Face Off, a forthcoming book that purports to be written by Bringing Down The House author Ben Mezrich.

"They dined with royalty, partied with rock stars at clubs in Paris, Rome, and London," a screenshot from Face Off's book proposal read. "They went from all-night parties at the Playboy Club in L.A. to eating koala on the yacht of the CEO of Sun Microsystems, somewhere outside of Monte Carlo."

Eating Koala? I wonder how that's going to be portrayed in the movie.

Server IP Blacklisted in DNSBL . Will it impact on SERP?
This morning I found out that my server ip has been blacklisted in one DNSBL. (Dns Blacklist).

We had issues with reverse dns, and we succeeded in solving it. However, we are still listed in the DNSBL (a question of time before they remove us from there),.. and I am wondering if this will have any impact on SERP?

Site for Review http://www.bluesunproperties.com/

I am beating my head on my desk over small differences in how IE handles css versus Firefox. When I think I have it right in one browser, I see something broke in the other one. Please have a look at my site concerning Panama City Beach Vacation Rentals and tell me what else is broken. My eyes are starting to cross now.

how to get rid of unwanted baclinks?

A website gets backlinks from crappy directories and webpages not related to its current content. These pages were created just for fake links and now i try to get rid of them. How is it possible to tell google not to see those baclinks? It looks that there is nobody i can contact and ask to remove my URL from them.

Naughty or nice?

I am planning an extension to my existing holiday business by adding charter flights.

This will take 12 to 18 months to set up correctly. So I purchased a domain name now as I wanted to give the domain a bit of age. I put up a holding page then whilst looking for a particular web site I spotted my shiney and new one page website got listed within a few days. I thought this strange for a single holding page, but also it was a bit of a waste of resources so added a few links to the holding page. I did this a couple of days ago.

Today I thought about it and panicked.

Is it black hat? Could the sites linked to get canned by the search engines? You can see the page here Flights to kefalonia

I Have Problems With No-Follow Aff. Links

As I posted some days ago I started using some affiliate links on one my e-commerce sites to transition out of this site. I want to see if I can earn a little revenue w/o losing my high SERPS. I was advised (I think) to use rel="nofollow" attribute in the affiliate links, but for some reason they are displaying the site without the w/o the affiliate I.D. If I put a direct link like http://www.thesite.com/affiliateI.D. - these will work properly but are hideous looking. I phoned the company and they're supposed to get back with me and never did. Anyone see anything obviously wrong with this HTML afffiliate link?

Google PR Sculpting and Nofollow Debate Revisited
SMX Advanced 2009 turned out to be a great show, and as always, it held some excitement. The two most exciting occurrences at the show were Microsoft’s new search brand Bing and the debate that broke out over Google’s PageRank Sculpting and nofollow practices. WebProNews spoke with Jeremiah Andrick of Logitech to get his perspective on both issues.
