WebProWorld Members,

I always love it when I get to quote one my favorite movies ever. Today's quote will be coming from Wayne's World, and it's simply this:

"Change, we fear change" - then Garth procedes to whack a robotic hand with a hammer for no apparent reason. If you don't know anything about Wayne's World, I apologize.

For you SEO experts out there, you should know that a change in Google algorithms will be appearing soon. The news has been reported by a WebProNews insider. The next obvious question is, 'what does this mean for us?'.

I've mentioned before that I'm a shining optimist, and the situation is no different here. This algorithm change, which is targeting Black Hat SEO can only be good for site owners, and marketers. Unless you do use Black Hat tactics, then you're just SOL.

Of course, as with any change to Google there could potentially be unforeseen problems. Maybe the algorithm reads your site incorrectly, grouping it in with the Black Hat sites. I'm not saying it will, but it's always good to be prepared.

I'll be keeping an eye on this as it develops. As always, feel free to drop me an email or discuss this topic in the forums.

Wordpress's ShareThis plugin not working in Firefox

I posted this question in Wordpress forum but no reply so posted again here as I know people are more responsive in this forum.

I've installed the Wordpress's ShareThis plugin but the ShareThis icon appeared on top of every pages instead at the end of the posts. Eventhough I turn it off in the setting and copy the code into my theme, the icon still remain faithfully on every pages. Hence, I've to deactivate the plugin but the code still remain in my theme, somehow the ShareThis icon look fine in IE 7 and Safari 3 but not in Firefox 3. It screwed up my pages in Firefox and my comment box went haywire, see it here.

Could someone advise why is not working well in Firefox? Is there a better solution?

Appreciate any advices.

Messenger pc to phone subscription

I clicked on the pc to phone subscription button and filled out the subscription form for 10 dollars worth. A response came back and said "Thanks for subscribing to Yahoo Voice." I said to myself "here goes". I've already got problems with Yahoo messenger and I haven't even got to use it yet. How do I get this mess cleared up. They took my money and I don't have what I signed up for.

Google Discussion Forum
Sponsored Link Question

I am in the Yahoo! Directory which is PR8, so I assume that Google adds authority or trust to this directory. My competitors are in there, about 3 pages worth. The first page is a PR4 value and I am on the top of the 2nd Page which has a value of PR0.

I see some of them have paid the $50 per month for the sponsored link, which resides on the top of the PR4 page and other country versions as well. Would this advertising expense be worth using? Do the sponsored links on the top get a PR4 link value? Or, do they just show up first?

I never get referals from the directory but if it would bring me a few PR4 links - then it may be wise to lay out the additional expense from my advertising budget.

Please give me your opinions
