IE Based OS Linke Chrome Based OS

I do not know whether it is a crazy idea but it just came to mind and I want to share it with you all. As Google has announced Chromed based OS what do you think, how Microsoft would be able to counter this threat? Would it follow the same path like Google?

No, threat there MS set it's place in history because everyday person can use a computer and still not know how to use a computer. But they can still send a email and find the local widget store doing a local search.
From what I have read Chrome OS is not going to be much more than the old web tv. In Google's press release it talked about OS is going to be light weight and browser based that means oh we get use you guested it Google Docs, Google Chat and Google Search, and by the way I am no fan of MS charging $300 dollars for their OutLook and Office combo I just see the capitalist side of thing here and both leaders are brilliant.

MS has a while before they seriously have to worry about Google's Chrome OS. They are so far behind already that it is just more incentive to make a serious push at regaining some market share.

Google Chrome OS will not be a serious threat to Microsoft. But if really good then it can take 5-10% market share. Not more than that.

Google Chromed based OS will not be a serious threat to MS because this can not be used in official work but if you reckon it as the Google's preparation for the great OS war, MS has really something to worry about.

Well in short chrome OS cannot be a big threat to windows now but can be in future when cloud computing becomes the wave of future and speed and security will be given more importance then Microsoft could be very wary of this new chrome os. In a nutshell this is great news by Google and the competetion between Google and Microsoft just got even more interesting
