I was getting A Lot Of Traffic From MSN now it's Google

Can anyone explain this. I launched a new website that all Google Yahoo and MSN had indexed. Initially I was getting a lot of traffic from MSN and hardly any from Google. Then something changed and the majority now comes from Google. The MSN listings have diminished considerably.

Why is this?

well, it takes time to get good SERP in any of those SE, at the start, you may have only been ranking well from MSN and its just this recent that you acquired good serps on Google, its normal anyways, most of us gets the largest traffic from google

If you want to get rank in Msn you better continue optimizing the site. But be sure not to affect google because most SEo wants to get ranked in Goolgle

Maybe its just that you can't find them in the mountain of google visitors? thats normal I get like 1, maximum 3% coming from MSN...

my website is the same with you said,so i want to improve the msn's rank,and not affect the google's rank,how can i to do?

As per my own experience I always get the most traffic from Google, next Yahoo and hardly any from MSN.

Perhaps Google wants to dominate the search engine market?

I haven't used MSN at all so don't about that stuff. I always prefer google, but after reading different posts here now thinking abt trying that.

its a good news that you are getting good number of visitors from msn i am trying to index my all site in msn but i always fail in this and i had tried all the formulas to index my all site in msn but its not indexing any of my site i am getting good traffic from google , yahoo, altavista and 7search search engine but very fre from live search.

You need to be happy lol . Although MSN is an important Search Engine, Google is the best and the most important, so if you are already getting a lot of traffic from Google then keep up the same SEO work that you have done until this moment, make some research about why the loss in the MSN traffic, you should try another strategies without quit the ones that are already working with Google. Remember: Google is God!!
