You're back: MSN search.

A glitch in the matrix ....
Anyways, did you sign up for live.com's webmaster tools? You can see there what pages are indexed, links, warnings, etc.

I have had the same issue of being deindexed from MSN but unlike cw1865, the site has yet to be reindexed and a search in MSN for the site does not bring up any results.
Our site used to rank well before the MSN live update -- a few months after the update we no longer ranked or showed up in the search results...then mysteriously we reappeared and ranked well again. Unfortunately this only lasted for a few months and again we are now completely out of the index again. I even signed up for the MSN Webmaster Tools last year, have the site authenticated and have it pointed to our sitemap page as well. Unfortunately this still did not solve my lack of indexing issue. I am still puzzled by MSN's refusal to index the site...we rank very well in both Yahoo and Google. Since the amount of traffic MSN brings is much less than the Yahoo and Google, it has not been too big of an issue; still if there is something I am doing -- or not doing -- that could easily be remedied I would definitely welcome any additional traffic. Anyone have any suggestions? |

Microsoft had the same issues Google did when Google could not hold a proper index during Big Daddy, in fact they had the problem at the same time Google did but no one mentioned it since the focus was on Google and Big Daddy and sites disappearing from G.
You are right, when the switch over to Live.com happened, MSN lost their database and I do think they are still rebuilding it to this day, they have been sending more traffic in the last 3 months to our sites while Yahoo has dropped off the edge of the earth. |

I was de-indexed about the end of last year and have been trying to get re-indexed with no luck. I finally signed up for webmaster tools and it shows there are no issues. I asked for a crawl in the tools section but who knows?

Many times you are better off to simply start a new site versus waiting forever to be re-indexed, once this happens for many webmasters it is time to move on, new domain, new host, clean SEO.
