Ping Option for Live Search?

The ping facility provided by google and yahoo is very good and that helps me to frequently update my listings on those search engines.

But I still can't find any services like that for Live search engine.

Do you know some feature that help us to tell Live Search about the updated sitemaps?

According to a post in the Live Search blog on August 22nd, They're currently working on the Windows Live Webmaster Portal with a proposed release date scheduled for late fall.

Tools to be included are:

• Troubleshooting tools to ensure MSNBot is effectively crawling and indexing your site
• Sitemap creation, submission and ping tools
• Statistics about your website
• Consolidation of content submission resources
• New content and community resources

So it is not available presently....

The news is good for Live Search supporters......

That can attract some more webmasters to their search.

As MSN didn't implement yet a front door, there is a recognized back door for submitting your sitemap to the MSN Search index namely moreover.com. You should use the following syntax directly in your browser URL box: http://api.moreover.com/ping?u=http:...oursitemap.xml

I know this feature and submitted my sitemap to this service. I think this plays very crucial part in msnbot indexing. After my sitemap submission, my search results on MSN is dramatically increased and now grater than Google.
