Microsoft's New adCenter.
I have been playing around a little with Microsoft's new adCenter.
It has some information that is worth knowing. I can find out the geographic location, gender, age, lifestyle and time of day people search for any keyword I enter.
This allows me to build pages and aim them at the type of people that will be landing on those pages. Helping me to convert more of my traffic.
I like this a lot better than Google's AdWords and the conversion should be better, since MSN gets less webmasters and more real people.
I am going to give it a try and see what type of traffic it can send me.

I sure would like AdCenter if it worked correctly. I was recently converted to the new AdCenter beta, and I have been struggling to get my clients' ppc campaigns running properly for two months now. The previous Adcenter was very nice and I liked it a lot. This one has been one headache after another.
I will give Microsoft this though; their customer service has been exceptional. Believe it or not, but I HAVE ACTUALLY RECEIVED SEVERAL PHONE CALLS from their customer service department to help me with the bugs I've been encountering. In this day and age, that is frankly unbelievable! Try getting an email response from Yahoo in less than 3 days or any response at all that is not automated from Google. Microsoft has truly taken a step above the rest in that category.
Currently, my campaigns are running, but none of the ads show in my account. Of course, this is a major problem for ad testing and Microsoft has sent me a link for some xp xml driver that my system may be missing. We'll see if that works.
My thinking is that the source of the problems occurred in the database migration from my old Adcenter account to the new beta. My guess is that if I started an entirely new account, I wouldn't experience these problems.

Hi Steve,
We have not had any problems at all although I did have to call their customer service for something but can not remember what it was for.
The customer service was great and while I was on the phone she took some extra time to look over the account and my website to see if she saw any problems.

Is it really open to the non-US users? What is the success rate of it when compared to Adwords?

A lot depends on your site and search terms but we are getting about 10 visitor for every 100 visitors with Google. But the conversion is a little higher with MSN.

Re: Microsoft's New adCenter.
I'd like to add a little to this old topic... I am highly impressed with MS's Adcenter too. Their customer service is excellent. I submitted a question and within the same day, they actually called me to explain the answer. I've used their phone support before and find it to be courteous and helpful, even for a very very small advertiser like me.
I also like the low .05 bid on keywords. You don't get that on Yahoo or Google. I'm pretty good at finding keywords that are overlooked and can bid .05 or .06 and get a lot of impression and clicks for very little $$.
Just my two cents.

XML without XPath, XPointer, XLink etc. is like a relational database without SQL. In my view, since Google is mentioned in this thread, I think this technology has been used for some time by Google e.g. in their AdSence for search, where I think (without knowing for sure) that XLink is used in the option to embed the SERP's into your own site. That is a typical XLink (Xpointer, XPath) feaure, where you import a third party link base or source, more specifically location set into your own site.
That Google fully understands and already uses these technolgies is quite sure. Examples: I, personally have had no problems getting fast answers from Google regarding my AdSense account so long.
Note: That XPointer extends XPath since it makes it possible to select an arbitrary string that crosses several nodes of a document. If that was confusing, read the document in the static link in this note.
