Default Wow Msn Is Amazing

Hey all I just wanted to tell a sucess story I have with MSN.

I run a brand new forum gearing towards Microsoft stuff and I started it less then a month ago and WOW I am top ranked for 2 keywords I was targeting and the 2 keywords are Windows XP and Windows Media Player. I am trying now to rank for Internet Explorer. Wish me good luck. Oh and the traffic on them keywords are amazing also.

We have found that MSN is easier to rank when on page text, titles, & page names are optimized for the key words in question.

They don't seem as link dependent as Google which is good for newer sites.

However, keep in mind that the potential traffic from Google is far greater.

So now begin your link building campaign and hopefully your traffic from Google will follow. It just takes time with Google.

Good job and your MSN rankins.

I had the same experience. I make a tool to automate flowcharting in Excel. So way before the product was ready, I created a few topical articles and a vaporware page.

Not only did it get indexed within a few weeks, but I was near the top of their SERP's for many related terms within a month.

Ever since, I've always had the feeling that MSN doesn't apply an aging factor like Google does, so recent, highly-relevant pages climb to the top faster.
