Default Sitemaps and MSN

anyone any idea how you go about submitting a sitemap to MSN? Anyone know what the url is (if they have one)?

Google (obviously) and Yahoo no problems but does MSN accept them yet?

Go to sitemaps.org. It represents all three search engines and has instructions for submitting to all of them.

No it doesn't tried there first.

To clarify, Google has:https://www.google.com/accounts/Serv...Fhl%3Den&hl=en

and Yahoo has:
https://siteexplorer.search.yahoo.com/submit

But what does MSN have? Apart from doing the usual search url , not finding it and then submitting the url in standard fashion but not in a way that requires cookie validation like Google and Yahoo etc.

If I have missed where it says in Sitemaps.org where the exact url for submission for each of the three main engines is then I am only too happy to stand corrected.

Their FAQ contains instructions on how to submit the same sitemap to Google, Yahoo, and MSN. Read a little deeper and it's all there (it's not a big website. I promise).

I've read a little deeper (I promise) and the site does not include a submission url for MSN. It tells you to ping the url that the SE gives you but does not give you the ACTUAL url which was the purpose of this question.

Sorry that you don't feel the need to actually contribute anything constructive rather the need to grandstand and try and be clever.

A simple...."hey the url is http://www...etc" would have been great AND really useful instead of something in the vein of "look at me I'm clever read the site."

Sorry if this causes offence but when someone comes out with a genuine request and all they get is this...

Huh? If you ping the SE with your sitemap they will come and get it. That is how I understand it works.

Yes, as I had stated, it tells you to ping the SE's but also Google have Googlesitemaps, Yahoo have "submit.search.yahoo" etc so I repeat my question (rhetorically now) does MSN have an equivalent url for sitemap or feed submission purposes and the collective wisdom is........obviously not at this time.

Apparently MSN are testing "a protocol internally" (must be painful and I hope it doesn't put them off their Xmas lunch!) to do with the submission of sitemaps similar to the process that Google and Yahoo now operate so hopefully early next year should see a url / sub site of MSN whereby you can submit your sitemaps.

This is in addition to their participation in sitemaps.org

Yeah, there is no way to submit to MSN yet. Check out their search blog - http://blogs.msdn.com/livesearch/arc...-sitemaps.aspx

Presumably they'll post something there when their "support" takes a more tangible form...
