I suggest optimize for google and the rest will follow. You'll get serp in MSN and yahoo unknowingly.

I'm inclined to agree with full house. At least, that's what I've been doing, and I'm not dissatisfied with the results. With no standardized "rule-book", I'm just going for the largest audience, and for the time being, that's Google.

MSN is easier to please, I think, as is Yahoo, but I just can't afford to ignore Google. And if I build to their requirements, my serps with MSN and Yahoo seem to more or less follow.

i think optimizing for msn is a good because it gives you a lot of traffic we have good traffic from the past and now bing is going up from yahoo so i think content makes the difference as far i think on msn.

It has been my experience also that by focussing efforts on Google the other SE's seem to reward you ok. However I noticed yesterday that a website I have which has a first page No1 position on Google UK can no longer be found within the first 3 pages of the equivalent MSN/ Bing UK results?
