Default My PR Soared! Thanks webproworld!

I would like to personally thank all the members of WebProWorld who keep providing knowledge about SEO and web site maintenance.

One thing that put a smile to my face was when I decided to search in MSN for Debate Politics. Surprisingly, Defending The Truth (my site) is #2 out of 254,034,125.

If it weren’t for the great readings in these forums, I wouldn't be in this position. My site has been growing very rapidly with all this SEO and a more user-friendly design.

Thank you everyone!

It is always a pleasure to hear that by sharing knowledge with others that everyone benefits in the long run. You have an awesome site and to reach a number two ranking in such a short period of time for such a highly competitive key word is awesome. Congrats!

Default My PR Soared! Thanks webproworld!

Let me start out by saying I love to read Webproworld! I read the newsletter religiously and I do get great results from articles I have read over the years. The thing I would like to know is what did you do to make your PR Soar? I normally associate PR on the web with Google’s PR or Page Rank indicator. I see that you have a third place ranking on MSN on their SERP. That is great, especially with the competition that your have for that keyword phrase. What I would like to know is how did you do it? What were the steps or techniques that you used to be successful? I am sure we would all like the success that you have had. Please let me in on your secrets!
Thanks,
Grant@Heavyglare.com

After downloading many ideas into my head from WebProWorld, I used many tools to help enhance my site.

I spent about a month trying to promote my site to many, many directories (political). I know it's a pain but they do bring in traffic. You all know search engines backlinks.

After that I decided to add RSS feeds to my site. I then added my site to many RSS directories and noticed some traffic from that.

About a week or two later, I checked my results in MSN and I was way up there. You know how hard it is to get in the top 10 with a new site!

I'm sure this isn't any new news to you readers, but this is what I did to get in the top ten.

I sure am happy :)

Congrats RidinHighSpeeds glad to hear you made it in the search engines. I have interacted with webpro way back in early 2000. Its a huge network but it really has a human factor. A editor named Pete took the time to publish one of my articles back then in webpro news. Now that's keeping it real!! It is archived and still live online.

I remember when this forum (WebPro World) began and it took off like a rocket!! In my opinion it is one of the best on the entire web. My interaction in the forum brought me the 5 free clients for my base in my new SEO venture. Naturally they all are super people.

I work hard for the 5 for free. I am now fee based for all others but still in a since have followed the written code of the internet of old. Sharing knowledge and help for free. The forum draws the best of the web. Its like family.

What makes webpro so good?? They maintain the human factor. They have a staff of excellent people hands down a cut above the rest.

So once again congratulations RidinHighSpeeds !!

Thanks a Jimmie..or is it Jimmy?lol

I have been a member of this site for a couple of years and I am amazed with the feedback I get. If I ask for a review of one of my sites, many professionals do state their opinions about the site. I have used seochat for some years, but I think this site tops them all.

I have read many questions asked on this site and noticed some great responses (reason for signing up). I enjoy browsing around this site to learn new things about search engines, and understand some problems I may face in the future of web design.

Props to WebProWorld and to all of its members. Again thank you.

You guys are #1 on my list :)

MSN fixed this little glitch:
1-9 of 5,406,954 containing Debate Politics

they have been showing huge page returns for about 3 weeks, now resolved. (end of party-pooping)

Nice position either way.

haha Sure did seem like a big number. After reading your message, the first thing that came into my mind was my PR dropped or something...Glad that wasn't the case.

I would love to see my PR in Google, but I guess their are many rules you have to follow for "new sites". Hopefully Google will add me soon :)

The quality of posts on WebProWorld suggests to me that this is generally a very educated membership.

We don't make mistakes. What are you talking about.

Oh, do you know how to get a site back to the top in the search engines, hypothetically?

just kidding

Of course we share what we've learned from our mistakes. That's what helps us learn what other mistakes people have made to avoid. If you keep to yourself all the time, you don't grow in knowledge exponentially, it is much more linear and pretty flat.
