Is JavaScript the problem here?
Hi all,
I wonder if someone could help.
I have a simple website which, just before Christmas got into Page 1 of MSN for the first time. Traffic shot up - but not knowing how to leave a good thing alone, I put up a new index page (I changed only the index page).
I did this on December 30. Within 10 days my traffic was falling and the site is no longer on Page 1 of MSN.
The new page has more graphic images and a javascript that calls up a new image whenever you refresh the page. Thought it'll enhance my users visit.
My question is - could it be that MSN dropped the site because of the more complex coding? Or is this likely to be just a coincidence?
My other sites that improved with MSN - and which I have left well alone, are holding on to their new SERP positions.
