The easiest way to replace the default search engine in IE is to let the engine you'd prefer to use do it for you.
Example: If you'd prefer to search with Google, install the Google toolbar (you can delete it later if you wish), and select its options item from the toolbar. In Options, select the "More" tab and click the item "Use Google as my default search engine in IE". You can also download this file from Google's page http://www.google.com/options/defaults.html. Most other search engines offer similar options. |

Yes, right there, the box where I should write homepage adress is grayed, i cannot change anything there. Ive switched to opera now, and im just delighted with that browser. However, i still need IE for google bar and alexa. |
