MSN Search

I hear that MSN is going to launch thier own search engine in July.

Their bot has been working overtime on my site and I assume that it is building it's data base now.

Do all these bot's work the same i.e. do they all spider sites and then compare data and update it at given intervals or do the update immediately?

I have heard talk about the Google dance, when it is getting ready to update their data base. Is this still a valid parameter for Google? (the dance thing)

In general all spidering search engines follow the same general plan in getting the information into the search engine database, but what they do after that varies quite a bit from one engine to another.

As far as Google goes, they have gone away from a monthtly major update and seem to update almost continuously, but the backlinks, anchor text and PR seem to be updated only monthly.
