Keyword Alerts on forums for new posts?

Hi, I have a list of forums that our company would like to start participating on. I am wondering if there is some software out there that will monitor these forums for new posts on specific keywords then send out an email. It would be ideal if I can set up alerts for different email addresses for keywords and edit when they are sent (immediately, daily, etc). Does anyone have any suggestions on any software I should check out. I appreciate it!

I have only found one piece of software out there so far, and I am in the process of testing it. You can enter in a forum url and keywords and set it up so it goes and checks every xx min and then emails you if your keywords have been added. It is Website Watcher from aignes.com. I am wondering if anyone has any other suggestions for me to try....thx.

You could try setting up Ego Search Feeds for specific keywords, they should find forum posts that have that word in it. HTH

You could also set up Google Alerts for the keywords you want. It won't be specific to forums, but it could still help.

I use Google alerts as well. You cannot specify sites, but it gives you a great chance to leap in and comment where you can on relevant material etc as it gets indexed.

I think the instant keyword alert is a huge time-saver for members who are constantly on the watch for mentions of their company name. If someone's complaining about or criticizing your service, you can be there right away.
