Wow, thanks for the info. I have been unemployed for a year this month and have been beating my head against the way trying to make a living online. I have just recently begun trying to use a new website to do affiliate marketing, however, I believe I am in the sandbox at the moment, anyway back to the point. I have several squidoo lenses and I definately find that they are MUCH easier to rank than a brand new site. So I highly recommend using a trusted high page rank website where you can get a sub domain web page to promote your products. Article marketing is also great for this.

That will depend on whether you are using such keywords of the purpose of SEO or SEM.

For the former, there is no reason to not go after both.

For the latter, only testing will tell which yields acceptable ROIs.

I come with a product to sell and build a website around that product. The top part of the website has a call to action, and is set up just like any other website that would be selling that product.

Under the call to action is my WordPress blog.

Okay, now the idea is to create profiles on social media sites that will link back to my main site and I also interlink those profiles back and forth to one another. Along with those I also have a number of social bookmarking sites that I bookmark to.

I try and build enough back links to the site that there is no doubt Google knows about the website, at the same time that is going on I hire someone to add content to the blog.

We come up with a list of keywords and then we add keywords to those that we feel someone that was about to buy the product would add to those keywords.

For example;
Special Offers
Cheap
Discount
Order
Promotions
Free Shipping
Store
How Much
Quality
Best
Acquiring
Best Buy
Good Buys
Deal

We have an extremely long list of these types of words that we use.

The idea is to make about 20 posts per day.

And so far this has worked great for us and the neat thing is that it’s easy to set up and you can duplicate it over and over again.

I agree with you totally in terms of methods however, IT AINT EASY! Please let us keep it real. It may be easy when you're accustomed to it. I'm finding my place in telling folk what they are up against. Time allocation, split testing etc., these things take time. Yes, blogging is a very powerful tool in marketing as it gets indexed immediately as soon as new posts or articles are published. The only problem is updating them putting new content.

Having 2 -3 blogs won't be difficult specially if you love your niche, but having blogs more than that would be difficult keeping up, but if you can afford to outsource articles then that won't be a problem.

Nice post but easier said than done, earning online takes time, dedication, perseverance and patience.

There is no penalty to be had from Inbound Links; the worst that can happen is that they are discounted.

The only penalty imposed by Google is to have your site banned from being displayed in the SERPs, which requires that you actively engage in some rather egregious practice.

Agree! But in keeping with the context, Google slapping still sucks the most.

Depends on whether or not you are dependent on ranking sufficiently high in Google's SERPs; which, for many commercial ventures, is not the case.

In fact, for such, SEM is frequently not merely more cost effective than is SEO, but absolutely necessary.

I have to admit I would not make lots of money without my list - are you building a list along the way?

Also, do you only focus on organic traffic? In my business, organic makes no more than 20%, and I found that it does not convert as well as the other sources, most of the times. I personally would not feel very secure by depending on organic.

One other source of back links I'm trying out is article submissions. I understand the 20 posts a day quota you mentioned, as it's needed to research and devise angles on articles so that they both incorporate the keywords you target and bring the readers what they need, without padding. The latter part can be hard, as some keywords maybe hard to include in a "natural" language. That's how I fish for traffic.
