30 Day Plan For New Sites

I just wanted to say that I'm in the process of writing a blog post about 30 days of strategies to get a new website going.

I am looking for new input and strategies to include and will be including ideas that I get from reading your forum. Any input would be appreciated and quoted.

Don't just focus on technology.

CSS can be beautiful ... so beautiful the layout designer gets calls but not the client.

HTML can validate and be completely inaccessible due to writing using technical jargon and inability to relate to the customer.

PHP doesn't buy stuff -- humans do. Yet human factors are assumed without checking or outright discounted as not part of web design.

I think that it is very important for webmasters, with new websites, to engage in forums.

Stick to your niche and get the fresh content for the readers. You can even take the content using rss feeds but present them in your own way.

Your 30 man start should include creating the website and its content (articles) but if that is assumed to be done for day 1, day 30 should end with a huge blitz of social bookmarking/press releases with the beginning days starting with directory submissions, twitter, fb, and other social promotions.
