How Profitable Are Monetization Widgets

Hi WebProWorld members,

I read an article about monetizing websites and blogs which said that in addition to affiliate marketing, PPC advertising networks and CPM, sites can also make money by using monetization widgets. According to the article the idea behind the widget is that they operate like PPC, affiliate or text link ads and that the user can "plug and play the service on its website".

What do you think? Has anyone made any money from installing monetization widgets on his/her website or blog?
