Default Press Releases?

Has anyone done a press release for their business? (Local and/or online)?

If so, can you share your results and experience?

If you are releasing a real press release, hoping to gain local media attention, AP, etc., spend the money for a release at Press Release Distribution Online - PRWeb.. And spend the $300 to $500 to get on the top of the page on the day you release it.. (Tuesday and Wednesday tend to get the best results)..

If you are doing it just for the links and the search engine bump, use Press Release Service and Distribution - 24-7PressRelease.com and go for the $89 option.. You can get by with the $49 option, but the $89 is worth the extra $40..

There are also a ton of free press release sites, but when you compare the amount of time you spend submitting to all of them vs the cost of using one of the majors, I find it better to just spend the money..

Press releases result in a fair amount of backlinks, occasionally they will result in print media exposure, or a blogger may pick up the story.

It is definitely worth doing!

If you are going to do press releases, make sure to do them right. Have a professional release writer that knows how to grab a readers attention immediately write the release and pay the fees to submit it thru Online Marketing through Press Release Distribution - PRWeb or Press Release Service and Distribution - 24-7PressRelease.com making sure to get search news visibility.

Also make use of the tags, and other options at the release places mentioned, it is well worth the little extra time filling out those fields.

I agree 100%. Having been in the media game a long while, I can assure everyone that a poorly written release is not worth anything.

Rule of thumb online is forget about back links etc, think about the human reader. A good release, on a topical subject, with the right 'hook' will work better every time.

It is even worth manually submitting them to actual media outlets as well - yes real people!!

PM me if you need a release massaged from core info

I suppose of all the press release sites, pr.com is the most popular one. The press release submissions are very important for online businesses.

I used press release in the previous site I'm working with
and it did generate good traffic specially from PRweb.
The more I post unique press release the more I generate good
traffic from different PR site.
