I own and run http://www.scorpionsystems.net it has an Alexa rating of a 50,000 on average which out of all the sites on the web I think is pretty good.

On top of that I get around 30,000 unique visitors per month the tricks are below.

1. join at least (2) banner exchanges a large ones such as

If you sign up with us send an email saying you were referred from here and we will give you 100 impressions a week free on top of the ones you earn

2. Optimize your site for search engine listings

Around 60% of my items which are name brand and sold by lots of internet companies are ranked in the top 5 an every engine there is.

3. Submit your site I offer a few submission services on my site

4. join a start page exchange such as

5. Post to Message Boards

6. get other sites to link to you .... NOT THOSE LINK PAGES THEY WILL HURT YOUR RANK ON SEARCH ENGINES

7. Guaranteed Hits from a true source *** After everything prior is set up*** a few good traffic sites

How the system works:

The banner exchanges will show 1 banner for every 1 - 2 you show

if your site is optimized you will get better rankings the higher you are ranked the more clicks from searchers. More Clicks which are free more banners shown on link exchanges. 2nd highest ranked kind of traffic in my book.

Start Page Exchanges will most likely not get you customers but it will get you free traffic which in turn produces more banners free which will.

Message boards let people know about your site but only post on boards related to items and or services you offer and no spam. More clicks = what yep more banners.

Write an email to sites that sell related products and or services and ask them to exchange links or just link to your site IE if you sell sun glasses write to bathing suit and suntan lotion companies this is the best traffic better then search engines I think because you are being referred by another company.

purchase some traffic May get you sales if you have an item or service that is eye catching enough but not many if you don't but, this does 2 things (1) builds your banner impressions which = the 3rd best traffic lets say you purchase 10,000 visits and you signed up for the above banner exchanges that means your banner will show 15,000 times on top of your page showing 10,000 so for the price of one you are getting both.
