I am wondering if anyone can share some tips on internet marketing internationally. We would like to boost our margins even more internationally on the internet in 2009. Is there any techniques that you have had success with...from optimizing website, ppc, getting listed in search engines, research, etc.

Do both on and off page optimization regulerly. Now google is crawling regulerly and updating Bl at least within 10 days. So make quality back links for the site from any source and keep updating the content. Once you reach in top 3 of Google SERP is enough...

there are quite a few classified ads out there that posts your ads internationally.. you can make use of them to post ads about your products and services. most of them are free anyways...

Here are some really important tips:

1. Europe: Europeans love to read content in their own language and if you are going to market your product to us, you need to translate your website to all the languages of the countries you are interested in marketing to.

2. Use separate domains. People really hate a big menu with flags. They want the domain name on their language and a website on their languge.

3. Submit to local directories. Explore what web directories are the best known in the countries you are going to market to, and submit appropriate page variations to appropriate directories. This will boost your rankings on the contry specific google's domains (google.fr, google.de and so on...).
