Generating traffic on targeted phrase-As every one wants to generate good traffic on the targeted phrase and keyword. And I am sure that this is the primary target of every site owner. The following factors are dependent on keyword and phrases.
1.Conversion rate-If visits come on the basis of targeted phrase and keyword, then conversion rate will also be very high.(i.e. customer purchase and services, sponsor links and ads, pay per click, etc.)
2.Targeted Traffic-It helps to analyze the traffic on the particular phrase and keywords.
3.Customer value-It’s important to keep track on return on investment (ROI) for your site. Depending on that it will be easy to calculate each customer’s value. It means how much you will get in return from each customer.
4.Competitors keyword-Then the other important factor for generating traffic is to keep track on competitors’ keyword. It will definitely help you out to be updated with the present keyword and phrase in demand with high traffic.

I think that targeted traffic is always the best, considering conversion rate analysis and trying to keep bandwidth usage to profit ratio's high. I have found that the best way to do this is to market your site to other websites that are statistically better than you site to see an increase in traffic and conversions, leading to higher profit to BW ratios!

Conversion rate is one of the most important aspects of search engine optimization. You need to target those keywords which convert and not those which only produce traffic.

I have to agree with jitendra. PPC is the fastest way. Though there are still many ways you could easily get traffic. You just have to work hard and to be determined of your goal. Don't let any distractions hinder you. Search on the net. There are many resources available for you at your own disposal.

There are many podcasts people can take advantage of for getting the word out about their blog, website, etc. Just find one that is relevant to you and introduce yourself to the show’s host. I’d suggest using e-mail, as it seems to be the contact method of choice. After all, it’s the same method I’ve used to secure great interviews.

I am also agree that PPC is great way to get top ten position in Search engine Results but this is temporary solutions of the issue and also costly. No doubt, organic SEO is time taking task but if you get top ten position in natural search. its too good for you and you have save your money and stay your website position for long time.

I would say signups and sales are the end product everyone wants, there are of course many ways to get there, the BEST is not PPC, or targetted traffic !!!!

The best is in fact a MEMBER WEBSITE !!!

Now when you have a membership site, even if its a free membership site, and you send out a newsletter about your new product, update, bonus, receive 500 personal email replies within the hour, now thats sweet ))

it must be targeted traffic for sure. it is kind of like sending people wanting to buy tools to toy store you can expect NO conversions what so ever.

PPC, media buys, banner advertising - much more targeted than SEO. Additionally, depending on SEO only is not very good. You can find many high traffic blogs where you can place a banner ad for a few bucks! This is targeted and money making traffic for sure!
