Need to Change

Hi all!

I need to make a change in a clients hosting provider. The company has been reliable for the past 5-6 years, but current staff changes seems to have changed that. Plus they offer only windows hosting and I'd rather see them on a linux system. Nothing fancy here, just a shared hosting, with a GREAT stats tracking package. Any suggestions? USA regional website. Thanks!

Had good service from aplus.net for shared. Maybe add google urchin stats.

I always recommend BlueHost - low price hosting, good support, stable and reliable, good stats, lotsa plugins, etc.

I have been using TotalChoice for over 4 years and have been very happy. They have been reliable, informative about any server issues, and a very helpful support.

For host based stats, GoDaddy's "Traffic Facts" service does nicely.

I haven't used them but have also heard good things about Fluid.
Do NOT use Startlogic.

I've been using Blacksun.ca for 8 years for both my American and Canadian clients and recommend it highly. Their prices are excellent and I can talk to a person (In Saskatchewan, not India) at any time if I have a problem. They know their stuff and are very helpful. They've always used Urchin for stats, long before Google acquired it, in fact.

I complained about the lack of assistance, unless I paid them additional fees, after their upgrades to their server has affected several of our sites. Their response was to give me 14 days to get all my sites off their server. I would recommend avoiding this company at all costs.

I've asked around and have been told that I should move to Netlogistics in Sydney. I'm hoping to have better luck there. Have been with fluid for over 3 years, am very disappointed in them.

Recently I rediscovered my home wireless router under the table covered with 1/2" of dust (forbidden territory for everyone). For a long time I wondered where it was located.
The same with my host: JaguarPC.

Check the loft of your garage, atop the duct-work in the basement, and the trunk(s) of your car(s).
