Default Using Posters to sell a website

My site provides online tennis lessons through videos and articles. I like the idea of advertising online through clicks, but it costs a lot (relative to others sources) and once the visitor is gone, they may never return!

Therefore,

Towards the end of the summer I plan to design 2 different poster ads for my site. I will print 250 of each kind and send both of them as a unit to 250 tenins clubs in the northeast.

I hope that having two posters hanging up in a tennis club will spark interest and conversation about the site.

What do you think? Obviously this is a quick write up of the campaign, but I would love to hear everyones thoughts and suggestions.

Thanks!

one problem - the clubs may have a relationship with a coach already - enough to stop them putting up the poster, even though your target markets may be different.

Why not try shopping centers, university an other places with notice boards. I have had reasonable success that way.

You could try sending to schools.

Whichever way, its a cheap test of the concept!

Well good thinking about the relationship with coaches....but the point of my site is so that tennis pros and coaches can register for my site and post their own lessons and videos...i actually dont write ANY lessons.

Change anything?

yes but the dozens of coaches and pro's that don't want to make use of your web site - their business model may be live one-one or small groups/clinics etc.

It's just an aspect to consider, so that if the mail-out does not work, this could be one of the main reasons. (or not)
