Do you use software to submit your site?

I found there are some site selling software for submiting website to search engine or post ads automaticlly to some forum or comment site.
Do you think this is really working?

never use automatd - I hate getting messages from automated stuff and reject them out of hand.

Careful selection of a few good partners is best, preferably not on their links pages (nor theirs on yours).

There is no reason to submit anything to the search engines. However the blog and forum spamming is pretty easy to spot.

The only people you will get by are the ones that are not keeping up with their blogs and forums. And chances are those have no pr or traffic.

willanfei: As janeth implies, the software programs (and a few of them do exist) are a waste of time and money. They will NOT increase the number of search engiines that find and list you.
Improving your web presence is dependent, most of all, on making your site stand out from the crowd; and this is done by a mixture of topnotch class SEO and first class content.
In effect, you'll get visitors finding you because you do a better job of building and maintaing a website than any of your competitors.
And as you surmise, this WILL be really tough. There are, I'm afraid, NO easy or quick and dirty answers.

I due my experience I have positive result with software to submit my site to search engine...it's better way if you wish to be in much more search egine listing and save your time ...for others marketing strategy...

There is not a reason to submit your site to the search engines. The bots will follow links to your site and find your site that way.

With respect willanfei, what was the point of asking us if we thought submission software was any good, if you were going to use it anyway?

Submission with software is a bad idea and you will get penalised. Its been established on this thread and many more that submission software is a bad idea. Even Janeth and Duncan (especially known on this forum for being in the know) have said its a bad idea and you still you're going to use it.

It might help you to research the term "community" before proceeding any further.

Hi everyone, Its better to do it manually....this helps you to decide the pros and cons and the techniques you can apply to make your promotion better. Softwares are indeed a quick way...but you have to use them at the right spots and then they can make them hit at the right spot....

So altogether...a software isisnt a bad option provided you make them apply at the right places

NO NO NO NO NO !!
dont ever do an automated service. It just kiils your chance. Go to submit.google.co.uk
enter your domain. then never do it again.
I would personally get an account with google webmaster tools and then you can submit your sitemap to them, then you know they know about all the pages that are on your website.

AGAIN NO NO NO ! never do automated submissions.
