Why my website is not active at all

Hi All
I've just launched an IT community a few weeks ago
I'm using MKPortal for home page and MyBB for the forum
I know that there are thousands or millions of IT boards around
I am really do spending a lot of time working on it but really not active at all
And the most strange thing that it have been browsed more then 50000 times so far
And forum recorded that most users has been online were 420 at one time
So records saying that it must be active
But only 25 members
Really these drive me nuts
I am spending a lot of time away from my family, friends ...etc
And always keep thinking about it
Is it because I am using free software and I should change to another thing?
It is not a matter of how to keep the place active
But it is a matter of how should I drive my thinking
I like how things did handled here
And this is what encouraged me to ask here
It is just a bit of advice for some one like me who just run a website for a 1st time
How to make it attractive, bring more people
Shall I disable forum for guests?
I am really can not organize my head

The most ever on line counts bots, so you may not be looking at people.

You need to check your stats to see what is really going on.

What status do you mean?

One of the sections of the CPanel main menu for your domain should be a "Logs" sub-category. If your host has enabled them, you should see shortcuts to Web stats packages.

Standard on all CPanel/WHM installations are analog, webalizer, and awstats.

If you aren't seeing those icons, you need to talk to your host and have them enabled.

- Bandwidth
- Webalizar
- Webalizar FTP
- RAW Access Logs
- Analog Stats
- Error Log
- Choose Log Programs
- Awstats
Which one I should use
And what should I look after

Click on Webalizar and see how many unique visitors you are getting each day.

Webalizer, AWStats and analog are all Web log stat packages.

While Webalizer is great, graphically, all 3 packages have their +'s. Take a look at all 3 and see which one provides the best information for what you need to do.
