Default Online Press Release

Anyone know of the best solution for getting a press release out there? I know of prweb.com and prleap.com. Is either of these the best way to go? And how about pay per post?

Basically just trying to get some buzz for a new site I'm marketing.

Thanks!

-R

Hi R

The following reading set me on the right track when i did the same a couple of weeks ago:

SiteProNews: The 10 Commandments of Press Releases
SiteProNews: Powerful Press Release Distribution Tips
SiteProNews: Success Strategies for Optimizing Online Press Release Campaigns

The last one was my gospel.

Although another handy hint: Don't just distribute your press release online. If you have a niche, contact the publications for that niche or even local papers.

I did this and unknown to me until a friend told me, I got into the local paper word for word which is a rarity.

If you want the best results from press releases, don't find that information from the internet marketing / SEO crowd. Go to PR professionals and see what they have to say about it. PRweb may be "good enough" for most webmasters, but the fact is that if you use it alone, you'll never really get the best ROI. You can always do better. PR distribution sites should be a complement to a PR campaign; not the whole thing.
