Default Two new websites need advertising

Hi,

I am new to web marketing but already getting a good feel for it. I am however unsure of who to use to do my advertising of my websites.

I have a dating site that I have just launched called Beautiful Dates::Welcome

and an online spiritual community called SpiritKin::Welcome to the online spiritual community

BD is a pay site where the users get voted in so it's a private network and can't allow webbots to search the site and thus keeping it low in the rankings. So I need an advertising medium. I am using google adwords but this is slow in attracting memebers.

SK is a free site and will rely on google ads initially. I plan to advertise the site through various spiritual publications and I also use google adwords. I hope to find an online advertising medium and also another source of revenue from other advertisers.

I would be grateful if anyone could shed any light on what direction I should take. There are so many scammers out there I don't want to risk anything as money is tight at this point.

Any online advertising companies that are recommended would be fantastic.

Thanks in advance.
Steve.

I don't know of any. Well, I do, but they are VERY expensive. The same things they do I've always done myself. It just takes a lot longer.

I'd like to give you one tip, though. Take it for what you think it's worth. If you haven't tried it already, try adsense.

But I'm not talking about for JUST advertising. It's a great way to see what kind of a conversion rate you will get before you shell out the big bucks for an advertising firm.

If you get, say, one sale out of every five-hundred hits, you don't want to waste your hard-earned money on an advertising firm.

Once you get your site to where you see an acceptable conversion rate, THEN start looking.

Something to think about, I guess.

Hey for your dating website did you develop it yourself or did you use a free/paid for online script?

Hi,

I had the script written in India and then made the changes I needed to tailor each site myself.

Thanks for the input perry.

Anyone else have any tips?

Smile Re: Two new websites need advertising

I also have a new website I Need Fitness - THE fitness community for Personal Trainers, Fitness Instructors, Studio Instructors, Nutritionists, Massage Therapists which is an online community for anyone interested in health & fitness. I've toyed around with adsense and other paid for marketing tools but it doesn't really seem to make a great deal of difference.

I've been recently told that posting blogs in forums (such as this!) and putting up articles anywhere else you can get your website address in is a good place to start and should greatly increase your ranking in search engines. I'll let you knw when i've finished putting mine everywhere i can think of!

Hope that helps. Am keen to learn any other tricks people might have...
