I've started a Southern California Myspace-type site called http://www.socalspaces.com and it's a super niche market. Well, not really i guess... it takes all kinds.
But here's my dilemma. I'm in google. I'm trying to optimize my content and front page and i was just wondering what else i can do to grab some new users. Could you take a look at the site http://www.socalspaces.com and tell me if you see anything that would make people want to run away? |

Nicely done, but the typo in your site's header is a little unnerving.
Southern California's Meeting Place not Southern Californias Meeting Place Small typo, but it *is* a header after all.

I don't think optimizing will help you very much right away.
It's going to take you working the other sites like myspace and any others you can find. And, if no one else is posting anything, then it has to be your interaction and writing and pics to help keep things fresh. |
