Default Looking for free ways to advertise my website

I'm looking for some free traffic exchanges, free safelists, ezines and newsletter that allow free ad
placements. I've made a search on google but there are just too many of them out there.

Have you ever used the above methods to drive traffic to your site? If yes, what would you recommend? I am not looking for a lot of traffic, but a decent number of visitors.

Thanks.

I havent used traffic exchanges and would advise against it.

The traffic your talking about getting is just going to be a waste of time.

What about myspace? That would be a good way to get some visitors.

Yes and so on you can get traffic through other social networking & bookmarking sites. Beside this blogs are also good source to generate good content and build traffic.
