Default Social Networking Marketing Challenge For You...

I have a site that I'm putting together related to cars. There is not much there now. I'm a professional photographer in Los Angeles and this week I happen to be shooting the LA Auto Show for the biggest new and used car information website on the web. I will be at the show on the media days before the show is open to the public. I will also have the opportunity to take photos for my own site. I will have some of the first photos of many of the latest autos coming out along with some celebrity shots of people like Tiger Woods who endorse some of these vehicles.

I don't know much about social networking, however I feel that this could work well to promote my new site. I just don't know how to go about it at all. My new site doesn't have a blog but I suppose I could set one up real quick if I need to. What steps would you take if you were in my shoes to promote this site? I feel this is a valuable opportunity for me since I will have photos of these new cars before too many other people or websites do.

Thanks,

Don

A blog is a good place to start and you can do this for little or no cost.
You might want to also consider myspace and become a forum member.
As a sideline it might also be worth your while writing some articles and submitting them to some article directory sites.
This should help generate some rapport and traffic to your site.
All the best.
Mark.

Thanks for the reply Mark. I'm not concerned so much with general promotion of my website right now, just using this opportunity as a boost. I know there are many people out there that would love to see some of the first photos from the auto show. I'm just trying to figure out the best way to reach them. Perhaps posting on a myspace forum is a good start.
